HUBER+SUHNER seeks a Project Manager LF for its Railway Rolling Stock division to coordinate technical customer projects, manage documentation, and ensure compliance with quality standards.

This position sits within the Railway Rolling Stock division and is dedicated to the technical coordination of customer projects. The primary objective is to align project execution with specific client requirements while facilitating smooth interactions between internal teams and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee application and development projects for customers, including the preparation of necessary documentation.
  • Deliver cost-efficient technical solutions and provide information regarding new products and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the production team during the first article manufacturing phase.
  • Manage design change requests by communicating between customers and production departments.
  • Verify that the Bill of Materials is accurate and complete for all assigned projects.
  • Maintain customer drawings and part numbers, mapping them to internal HUBER+SUHNER references.
  • Provide technical support to sales and production teams to ensure operational success.
  • Liaise with the global application engineering team when specific expertise is needed.
  • Disseminate relevant technical information and project updates across the organization.
  • Mentor colleagues in Application Support and assist trainees in understanding key LF-related issues.
  • Coordinate prototype and pre-series production for Non-Standard Items (NSIs).
  • Adhere to GMS processes and participate in continuous improvement programs.
  • Accompany Account Managers on customer visits to build relationships at appropriate levels.
  • Represent the company at technical seminars and industry exhibitions.
  • Recommend improvements to customers based on expertise in cable and connectivity solutions.
  • Assist Quality Assurance in resolving exceptional customer complaints.
  • Implement 5S methodology in the workplace.
  • Oversee the implementation of QMS and EHS systems, including support for ISO 9000 and ISO 14000 audits.
  • Manage, supervise, and train team members in alignment with company goals.
  • Contribute to operational activities to ensure timely deliveries and support the division's annual sales targets.

Requirements

  • Experience in providing technical support.
  • Proficiency in managing Bills of Materials.
  • Knowledge of GMS processes.
  • Familiarity with 5S workplace organization.
  • Understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS).
  • Awareness of Environmental and Health Safety (EHS) standards.
  • Experience with ISO 9000 and ISO 14000 quality systems.
  • Expertise in cable and connectivity solutions.
