The company seeks a Mid-level QC Analyst for its Lengnau site. The position focuses on microbiological testing of products and materials, laboratory maintenance, and process validation within a regulated environment.
This position is responsible for the sampling and analysis of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished goods. The analyst also supports the daily operations and organization of the microbiological quality control laboratory.
Responsibilities
- Conduct sampling and testing for raw materials, in-process samples, finished goods, cleaning validation samples, utilities, and environmental monitoring.
- Develop, transfer, and validate analytical processes for microbiological quality control, including the qualification of necessary equipment.
- Assist in organizing the microbiological QC laboratory and perform daily maintenance tasks.
- Maintain, calibrate, and operate laboratory equipment.
- Draft and update standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and related documentation.
- Train and qualify new staff members and facilitate cross-training initiatives.
- Support the microbiological QC team with material ordering, sample logistics, and inventory management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or a laboratory technician diploma, plus relevant experience in microbiology, life sciences, biomedical fields, or similar areas.
- Prior experience working in a regulated laboratory setting.
- Ability to work independently while strictly following internal work instructions and ensuring accurate documentation.
- Strong customer-oriented mindset and collaborative team spirit.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in both German and English.
- Highly precise and reliable work habits.
- Strong IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office applications.
