Alcon seeks a Quality Assurance Associate in Fribourg to ensure compliant, risk-based management of digital platforms, business systems, and AI-enabled solutions supporting commercial and quality operations.
Based in Fribourg, this position enables organizational innovation by providing quality oversight for digital technologies and AI-driven processes. The role supports Commercial Operations, Digital Transformation, and Quality teams, ensuring that enterprise systems are managed effectively while adhering to strict compliance and data integrity standards.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional groups including Commercial, IT, Medical Affairs, and Regulatory teams to govern, implement, and validate digital platforms and business systems.
- Oversee the quality of digital tools such as CRM platforms, document management systems, and AI-enabled solutions to ensure alignment with QMS and data integrity protocols.
- Facilitate the responsible deployment of Artificial Intelligence by conducting risk assessments, contributing to governance frameworks, and monitoring compliance risks associated with AI processes.
- Manage investigations, CAPAs, change controls, and quality events for computerized systems, utilizing structured root cause analysis to implement effective corrective actions.
- Prepare for audits and inspections, support supplier qualification programs, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across business processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Life Sciences, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
- Professional experience in Quality Assurance, Digital Quality, Compliance, or IT Quality within regulated healthcare, pharmaceutical, or medical device sectors.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise systems such as Salesforce, document management tools, learning management systems, and analytics solutions.
- Solid understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS), GxP regulations, data integrity principles, CAPA, change control, risk management, and audit processes.
- Proven ability to assess technology-related risks and translate quality requirements into practical business solutions within a regulated environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the capacity to collaborate effectively across diverse business, quality, and technology functions.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with emerging technologies including Artificial Intelligence, machine learning, intelligent automation, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Knowledge of technology governance frameworks.
