Quant Analyst

Mathrix in Zug, CH, seeks a mid-level Quant Analyst for a full-time onsite role. The position involves developing and refining automated trading systems through algorithm design, data analysis, and coding in C++ or Python, supporting traders with technical improvements.

As a Quant Analyst at Mathrix, you will contribute to the evolution of automated trading software by creating and optimizing systems and algorithms. Your work bridges technical development and practical trading needs, supporting traders by identifying improvements based on market dynamics and performance data.

Responsibilities

• Design, test, and implement new trading strategies
• Optimize and adjust existing trading strategies for better performance
• Analyze market data and trading outcomes to inform strategy development
• Develop tools to automate or streamline workflows
• Write and maintain code for handling complex data and processes

Requirements

• Master’s degree or PhD in Physics, Mathematics, Quantitative Finance, Econometrics, or equivalent, with outstanding academic results
• Strong interest and expertise in mathematical modeling
• Ability to manage projects independently and take ownership of tasks
• Programming experience, preferably in C++, or demonstrated coding ability in Python or other languages

• Outstanding skills, experience, or accomplishments in areas that may offset slightly lower academic performance
