LGT seeks a Senior Red Team Engineer in Zürich to advance offensive security and AI-driven testing capabilities across its infrastructure and applications.
This position focuses on evolving the organization's red teaming maturity by conducting realistic, adversary-style assessments of applications, cloud environments, and internal systems. The role integrates hands-on penetration testing with strategic program development, leveraging artificial intelligence to enhance both offensive techniques and the security evaluation of AI platforms.
Responsibilities
- Enhance red teaming methodologies, rules of engagement, tooling, and reporting standards.
- Execute penetration tests and red team exercises targeting applications, cloud services, infrastructure, and critical systems.
- Implement AI-assisted techniques to speed up reconnaissance, exploitation, payload creation, and reporting processes.
- Evaluate the security of internal AI platforms against specific threats like prompt injection, model abuse, and data exfiltration.
- Collaborate with blue teams to improve detection and response capabilities through adversary emulation and purple team exercises.
- Document security findings, prioritize risks, and drive remediation efforts with relevant teams while contributing to security KPIs.
- Assist in incident handling and root-cause analysis when offensive security insights are beneficial.
- Partner with infrastructure, development, operations, and governance teams to integrate offensive testing into the broader security lifecycle.
Requirements
- Several years of practical experience in penetration testing, red teaming, or offensive security.
- Demonstrated skills in at least two domains, such as web/application testing, network/infrastructure, cloud (Azure/M365), AI, Active Directory, or social engineering.
- Proficiency with offensive tools like Metasploit, Burp Suite, or similar, along with familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK.
- Ability to script and develop exploits using languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Golang.
- Strong understanding of AI applications in offensive security and awareness of AI-specific attack vectors.
- Knowledge of security frameworks including OWASP, MITRE ATT&CK, or NIST.
- A structured, reliable, and solution-oriented work style.
- Excellent communication skills to convey technical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Very good proficiency in English.
- Willingness to participate in 24/7 on-call rotations.
Nice to have
- Experience working in regulated industries or financial services.
- Offensive security certifications such as OSCP, OSEP, CRTO, CRTP, or GPEN.
