SAP Project Manager (m,f,d)

ITech Consult AG seeks a Senior SAP Project Manager in Zürich for a contract role. The position focuses on leading end-to-end SAP S/4HANA release upgrades within a complex international enterprise setting.

This senior position is dedicated to the complete management of an ongoing SAP S/4HANA release upgrade. The successful candidate will operate within a complex international enterprise environment for a direct end client, ensuring the technical and strategic success of the upgrade process.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire SAP S/4HANA release upgrade project from start to finish.
• Direct and coordinate the project team across all stages of the upgrade lifecycle.
• Plan and monitor project progress to ensure all milestones and deadlines are met.
• Create and present steering committee materials, highlighting status, risks, and key decisions.
• Collaborate with other projects and business units to identify and handle dependencies.
• Maintain clear communication with both business and technical stakeholders throughout the project.
• Manage technical elements such as client concepts, freeze periods, and system dependencies.
• Keep detailed project documentation, including plans, reports, decision logs, and risk registers.

Requirements

• Over a decade of SAP experience, with significant project management background in S/4HANA release upgrades.
• Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and managing diverse stakeholders.
• Deep understanding of technical concepts in S/4HANA upgrades, including client structures and freeze periods.
• Experience delivering SAP projects in complex enterprises with multiple business units.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills to coordinate stakeholders and drive delivery.
