SAP Security & Authorization Consultant

Senior SAP Security & Authorization Consultant role at Swisslinx, focusing on SAP GRC system ownership, security management, and compliance across on-premise and cloud environments. Remote position with locations in Zurich and Katowice.

The company is seeking a senior consultant to serve as the system owner for SAP GRC, overseeing security and authorization processes across its SAP landscape. This internationally oriented position supports operations in Zurich and Katowice, with a predominantly remote work model.

Responsibilities

• Oversee authorization and security management for all on-premise and public cloud SAP systems.
• Act as the IT system owner for SAP GRC, managing access control and FireFighter processes.
• Maintain system security by handling user roles, authorizations, password policies, and segregation of duties compliance.
• Design and implement SAP roles and authorization models aligned with business requirements.
• Ensure compliance with SOX, GDPR, and ISO27K standards, and assist auditors with documentation and reviews.
• Serve as the primary contact for SAP security incidents, conducting investigations and resolving issues efficiently.
• Provide first-level support for user access management and guide teams on GRC best practices.
• Represent the security stream in SAP projects.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for SAP systems.
• Contribute to the IT control framework by supplying data for ITGC testing in the security area.
• Train global and local business users on SAP GRC processes.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of experience as a functional SAP security and authorization consultant.
• Deep understanding of SAP system architecture, including SAP Basis, BTP, S/4HANA, and ECC.
• Extensive experience with SAP GRC/IAG systems.
• Proven ability to manage users, roles, profiles, and security in SAP ECC and S/4.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks like SOX, ISO27K, or similar standards.
• Experience conducting SAP system audits and security assessments.
• Solid grasp of end-to-end SAP processes such as procure-to-pay or order-to-cash.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
• German language skills are advantageous.
