The company is seeking a Senior DC Network Engineer to design and optimize network infrastructure for datacenters, shops, and offices in Zurich. The role focuses on engineering, lifecycle management, and ensuring interoperability of network platforms.
This position plays a central part in shaping the future of network infrastructure at a leading Swiss telecom provider. The engineer will take a key role in engineering and developing Datacenter, Shop, and Office networks, acting at the heart of building and optimizing the network backbone.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Business and Product Management to develop new services related to IT and NE Datacenters, Shops, and Offices network connectivity.
- Lead baseline initiatives such as lifecycle projects, network upgrades, and network redesign.
- Plan and execute proof-of-concept and regression testing, author test catalogues, and automate test setups.
- Design cost-efficient, future-proof, resilient, tested and well-documented Datacenter, Shops and Offices networks.
- Ensure interoperability of Datacenter network platforms with internal and external client platforms.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT Datacenter network engineering
- Ability to author designs, plans and guideline documents at the high (HLD) and detailed level (LLD)
- Solid understanding and proven experience on Cisco ACI SDN solution and Nexus NX-OS based platforms
- Understanding and proven experience on Cisco and Huawei Campus SDN solutions and Identity Management Platforms
- Good communication and presentation skills
- English language proficiency in speaking and writing
