Senior Full-Stack Engineer (f/m/d)

Awin AG seeks a Senior Full-Stack Engineer for its remote team in Switzerland to build a new Affiliate Marketing platform within the Advertiser Tribe.

This position supports Team Argonauts in the Growth Domain, focusing on delivering high-value features for advertisers. The engineer will help accelerate the development of a new Affiliate Marketing platform, translating user needs into technical solutions while mentoring junior colleagues and solving challenges as the business expands.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable software with comprehensive testing.
• Write clean code adhering to best practices and contribute to improving these guidelines.
• Extend, maintain, and operate specific components of the platform.
• Mentor junior team members and participate in knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Translate user requirements into technical solutions across the entire product lifecycle.
• Address technical challenges that emerge as the business grows.

Requirements

• Minimum of six years in commercial software engineering roles.
• Strong front-end experience, preferably with Angular.
• Extensive background in cloud development using AWS services (Lambda, ECS, DynamoDB, Opensearch, Terraform), TypeScript, Java 21 with Maven, Spring Boot 3, and Docker.
• Solid understanding of relational database design, SQL optimization, and proficiency in both SQL and non-relational databases like DynamoDB.
• Enthusiasm for leveraging AI tools to enhance software development workflows.
• Proficiency with Git for source control.
• Commitment to writing elegant code, continuous refactoring, and applying SOLID principles.
• Expertise in designing and implementing RESTful APIs within microservices architectures.
• Ability to conduct thorough code reviews, write unit tests, and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Interest in agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
• Experience with application monitoring tools, preferably Cloudwatch and Datadog.
• Knowledge of information security principles and ability to design solutions that mitigate security threats.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Pair Programming.
• Experience with PHP for building and maintaining web applications.
• Knowledge of caching solutions like Redis or Memcached.
• Experience with streaming and queuing systems, ideally Kafka, Kinesis, or SQS.
