Senior Full Stack Engineer

IQVIA AG seeks a Senior Full Stack Engineer to build scalable web applications using ReactJS, Java, and Spring Boot in Switzerland.

The company is looking for a senior engineer to design, develop, and maintain high-quality web applications across frontend and backend platforms. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions that support a modern ecosystem of web, Android, and iOS applications.

Responsibilities

• Create and sustain end-to-end web applications utilizing ReactJS, Java, and Spring Boot.
• Construct reusable components, services, and libraries to facilitate scalable development.
• Develop and upkeep RESTful APIs and backend services for web and mobile consumption.
• Design, optimize, and manage database solutions using SQL and PostgreSQL.
• Partner with Product, UX, Mobile, and Engineering teams to define and deliver new features.
• Ensure technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and implement responsive, accessible user experiences.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex application issues across frontend and backend systems.
• Develop and maintain automated unit, integration, and functional tests to ensure application quality.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and design reviews to promote engineering best practices.
• Support and lead small to medium complexity projects and system components.
• Provide peer support and assist in onboarding and mentoring junior engineers.
• Work within Agile development processes, including sprint planning, estimation, and retrospectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of software development experience with full-stack web applications.
• Strong hands-on experience with ReactJS, Java, and Spring Boot.
• Experience designing and developing REST APIs and microservices.
• Strong experience with SQL and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Git and modern version control practices.
• Strong understanding of frontend architecture, component-based design, and state management.
• Strong understanding of backend architecture, software design principles, testing, debugging, and performance optimization.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python or Scala.
• Exposure to Snowflake or modern data engineering platforms.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, or containerized application development.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, or other cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience implementing authentication and authorization solutions using OAuth, JWT, SSO, or similar technologies.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT, or similar tools.
