Senior IT Engineer - SaaS & Identity

RMIT Professional Resources AG seeks a Senior IT Engineer to manage identity, macOS support, and workplace IT operations in Zurich.

This position focuses on maintaining robust IT infrastructure and user access within a SaaS-driven environment. The engineer will handle identity management, endpoint support, and office technology operations to ensure seamless daily workflows for staff in Zurich.

Responsibilities

• Deliver first and second-tier technical assistance for macOS endpoints, peripheral hardware, and audio-visual equipment.
• Oversee the complete user lifecycle within Okta, handling single sign-on, SCIM provisioning, deprovisioning, and group assignments.
• Administer and optimize the workplace technology stack, which includes Google Workspace, Slack Enterprise Grid, Jira Service Management, Google Meet, and 1Password.
• Enforce endpoint compliance via MDM solutions, ensuring disk encryption, regular patching, multi-factor authentication, and precise asset tracking.
• Maintain office IT infrastructure, including Wi-Fi networks and meeting room technology, while providing on-site support in Zurich.
• Develop scripts and leverage AI-assisted automation to reduce manual workload, while maintaining up-to-date runbooks and knowledge base articles.

Requirements

• Minimum of five years in IT support or systems administration, preferably within a fast-moving, SaaS-centric organization.
• Proven expertise with Okta or similar identity providers, alongside deep familiarity with Google Workspace and Mobile Device Management tools.
• Advanced proficiency in macOS administration, complemented by practical Linux experience and comfort with command-line interfaces.
• Ability to write scripts in Python, Bash, or PowerShell, with established experience using Git and GitHub workflows.

Nice to have

• Prior experience administering Jira Service Management and applying ITSM best practices.
