The company seeks a Senior DevOps Engineer/Expert in Zug, CH, to design and operate infrastructure for Debian-based Linux distributions in medical devices, integrating hardware and managing core services.
This position focuses on creating and maintaining the underlying infrastructure for Debian-based Linux systems utilized within medical devices. The role encompasses the full lifecycle of hardware integration, from selection and assembly to testing, alongside the management of core infrastructure services and continuous delivery pipelines.
Responsibilities
- Design, construct, and maintain infrastructure supporting Debian-based Linux distributions for medical devices.
- Handle hardware integration tasks, including selecting, ordering, assembling components, and conducting hardware-in-the-loop testing.
- Develop and sustain high-availability clusters and essential infrastructure services like build servers, CI runners, and artifact repositories.
- Implement declarative Infrastructure as Code solutions, alongside monitoring, alerting, and inventory management systems.
- Combine cloud and on-premises services, ensuring robust lifecycle management and disaster recovery procedures.
- Construct and maintain GitHub-based pipelines for continuous integration and deployment.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of professional experience in Software, Infrastructure, Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or related fields.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated ability to build infrastructure platforms from scratch, including user-facing services and production environments.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure architecture, reliability, security, and operational best practices.
