Senior IT Project Manager - Liquidity Risk Management Asia 100% (f/m/d) - (Contract through our external payroll partner with immediate start for 12 months with possible extension)

Baer AG seeks a Senior IT Project Manager to lead the Liquidity Risk Management Asia initiative in Zürich. The role focuses on implementing liquidity controls, ensuring regulatory compliance, and managing large-scale IT projects with a budget exceeding CHF 1 million.

The company is looking for a Senior IT Project Manager to drive the implementation and adjustment of the 'Liquidity Risk Management Asia' project. This position aims to strengthen internal liquidity controls and tools to meet regulatory requirements while overseeing end-to-end project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document requirements alongside business stakeholders from Risk, Treasury, Compliance, and regional entities.
• Oversee the complete project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, budget, quality benchmarks, and regulatory goals.
• Adhere to the firm's project governance framework, including milestone approvals, stage-gate reviews, and security standards.
• Handle administrative duties such as progress reporting, financial tracking, forecast updates, resource planning, and risk logging.
• Act as the main liaison for stakeholders across IT, Finance, Treasury, and Risk & Compliance, providing tailored communication.
• Create and present high-quality materials to steering committees, executive sponsors, and operational teams.
• Facilitate the transition and handover of solutions to Operations, supported by documentation and change enablement.
• Utilize agile methodologies and tools like Jira and Confluence for backlog, task, and knowledge management.

Requirements

• Experience managing large-scale IT projects with budgets over CHF 1 million.
• Knowledge of liquidity risk management frameworks, regulatory reporting, or treasury operations within financial institutions.
• Proven ability to lead global, matrixed projects involving internal/external teams and third-party vendors.
• Hands-on project execution skills, including reporting, budget tracking, financial controlling, resource allocation, and milestone forecasting.
• Proficiency in modern project management tools, particularly Jira and Confluence.
• Certification as a Project Manager (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, PMI-ACP, or equivalent).
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills to influence diverse stakeholders across cultures and time zones.
• Quick learner with strong analytical thinking to grasp complex business contexts, regulatory drivers, and technical landscapes.
• Problem-solving aptitude, emotional intelligence, empathy, and relationship management skills.
• Coaching mindset, team-oriented approach, and proactive, results-driven attitude.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities; fluent in English, with German skills as a plus.
