Senior Manager Upholstery Shop

Jet Aviation seeks a Senior Manager for its Upholstery Shop in Basel to lead team development, operational efficiency, and strategic growth within the aircraft interiors division.

This position sits within the Completions division, where the primary objective is to oversee the transformation of design concepts into high-quality aircraft cabin interiors. The manager is responsible for guiding a specialized team to ensure that every delivered cabin meets rigorous standards for comfort, safety, and aesthetic excellence.

Responsibilities

• Provide coaching, motivation, and professional development for a diverse group of upholstery specialists.
• Optimize operational workflows, manage resource allocation, and maintain strict adherence to quality, safety, and regulatory compliance standards.
• Oversee financial aspects including budget management, capacity planning, and key performance indicators.
• Coordinate with Quality Assurance, Sales, and other internal departments to ensure a smooth customer journey and seamless project delivery.
• Drive strategic business growth by supporting quoting processes and sales initiatives for the Upholstery Shop.
• Ensure full audit readiness by maintaining accurate documentation and implementing corrective actions to meet airworthiness and regulatory requirements.
• Foster a culture of technical and procedural excellence through targeted training programs.

Requirements

• Demonstrated leadership experience, preferably gained in interior manufacturing or aviation sectors.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to effectively manage budgets, KPIs, and resource planning.
• Technical education combined with hands-on operational experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP systems.
