Senior Privacy & AI Governance Specialist (temporary position)

SIX Financial Information seeks a Senior Privacy & AI Governance Specialist for a temporary role in Zürich. The position focuses on data protection compliance and responsible AI governance within a hybrid work model.

This temporary position, lasting approximately eight to ten months, aims to assist the team in defining the future landscape of data protection and responsible artificial intelligence. The specialist will act as a key contributor to these strategic initiatives while supporting ongoing compliance operations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a reliable advisor to business units, IT departments, and corporate functions regarding data protection matters under GDPR and Swiss DSG.
• Execute essential Data Protection Officer duties, such as managing data breaches, handling data subject requests, and performing regulatory assessments.
• Perform and evaluate Privacy Impact Assessments, Transfer Impact Assessments, and other risk evaluations concerning personal data processing.
• Deliver practical compliance advice for various projects, including digital initiatives and artificial intelligence use cases.
• Help build and roll out AI governance frameworks and practices that ensure responsible AI usage.
• Assist in organizing awareness campaigns and training sessions for employees across the organization.
• Work closely with a global group of privacy and compliance professionals.

Requirements

• Several years of practical experience in data protection, privacy, or compliance, preferably within a complex or regulated sector.
• Deep understanding of GDPR and Swiss data protection laws.
• Prior experience with Data Protection Officer tasks and a pragmatic, business-focused mindset.
• Capacity to work autonomously with strong ownership and accountability.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities across diverse teams.
• Fluency in both English and German.

• A solid grasp of or strong interest in AI governance and new regulatory trends.
