Proton seeks a Senior Product Manager for its Inbox ecosystem in Zürich. The role focuses on strategic vision, user engagement, and cross-functional leadership within a privacy-first organization.

This position is embedded within the Mail & Calendar ecosystem, collaborating closely with a team of 50 engineers. The role sits at the intersection of engineering, growth, data, and design, with the primary objective of enhancing user engagement and retention through exceptional user experiences for the community.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to establish the strategic vision and product roadmap.
  • Drive innovation by developing new features that expand value propositions and strengthen market defensibility.
  • Define success metrics, including active usage, retention, engagement, and revenue targets.
  • Foster tight collaboration between product, engineering, growth, and marketing teams to ensure alignment on vision and execution.
  • Lead product execution from concept to delivery, troubleshooting cross-functional issues to maintain high development velocity.
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and gather customer feedback to guide product decisions.
  • Anticipate growth limitations and define scaling strategies, including foundational technology and process improvements.

Requirements

  • 6-10 years of product management experience in B2C or B2B SaaS, preferably in privacy or productivity sectors.
  • Demonstrated success in launching major features in fast-paced environments.
  • Strategic, data-driven mindset with a history of delivering commercially successful products on time.
  • Strong customer empathy and a user-centric approach with high standards.
  • Intuitive sense for UX design and a passion for creating great user experiences.
  • Experience building and managing high-performing teams.
  • Hands-on work ethic with the ability to thrive in dynamic settings.
  • Technical aptitude to discuss details with engineers and make informed trade-offs.
