Körber Pharma Packaging AG seeks a Senior Project Engineer to lead system integration projects within the Parcel Logistics team, requiring strong mechanical engineering and project execution skills.

This position serves as the primary technical lead for large-scale system integration initiatives within the dynamic Parcel Logistics division. The engineer is responsible for driving execution-based engineering, ensuring that complex projects move smoothly from initial planning through to final commissioning and on-site support.

Responsibilities

  • Convert project requirements into detailed engineering plans, overseeing mechanical design, equipment specifications, and physical implementation.
  • Coordinate across mechanical, controls, electrical, and software disciplines to align deliverables, resolve technical issues, and maintain project schedules.
  • Manage the full engineering lifecycle from kick-off to commissioning, including providing site support and participating in Factory and Site Acceptance Tests (FAT/SAT).
  • Direct internal and external engineering resources, including offshore teams and outsourced partners, on a per-project basis.
  • Utilize practical knowledge of conveyor systems, singulation, sortation, and other material handling technologies to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Partner with Sales, Product, and Manufacturing teams to validate feasibility, cost estimates, and scope alignment during the planning phase.
  • Travel up to 30% of the time to support customer integration projects, requiring valid travel documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a closely related technical discipline.
  • At least five years of experience in system-level engineering, preferably within material handling, automation, or capital equipment sectors.
  • Proficiency with 3D CAD software such as Inventor, AutoCAD, or SolidWorks, along with experience creating comprehensive technical data packages including drawings, BOMs, and manuals.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance design intent with practical execution constraints, managing scope, cost, and resources effectively.
  • Proven track record of owning technical delivery from the engineering phase through on-site installation.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain all necessary travel documentation, including a valid passport for international travel.
  • Must be legally eligible to enter and exit the United States and other countries required for business travel.
