Senior Solution Architect

Partners Group seeks a Senior Solution Architect in Zug to lead architecture design for cloud-native business applications across Front Office and Corporate functions.

This position sits within the Business Applications Group, where the incumbent will design and optimize business application solutions in a fully cloud-native environment. The role is central to shaping architecture design capabilities, driving solution design within the delivery group, and contributing to the broader platform. It covers both Front Office areas, such as Investments and Sales, as well as Corporate functions.

Responsibilities

• Act as the main authority for architecture within the delivery group, owning solution design decisions and ensuring architectural coherence.
• Manage the complete solution lifecycle by translating business requirements into efficient and scalable designs.
• Guide development and integration efforts, stepping in to validate decisions or unblock teams when necessary.
• Provide architectural expertise for root-cause analysis and resolution of complex production issues.
• Lead the evolution of current business applications to optimize the underlying architecture.
• Serve as the escalation point for critical technical issues, driving resolution in collaboration with engineering and operations teams.
• Develop deep domain expertise in business areas to design technology solutions that address business needs.
• Establish and build strong relationships with business stakeholders to drive understanding of the solution architecture vision and roadmap.
• Coordinate with developers, engineers, and cross-functional teams to solve business problems.
• Contribute to iterative planning, backlog prioritization, and delivery within Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
• Evaluate emerging technologies, engineering practices, and vendor solutions, providing recommendations to leadership.
• Guide junior colleagues and validate their architectural designs.
• Guide team members on compliance, security, and operational responsibilities.
• Contribute to building architecture design capabilities across the wider Business Applications Platform.
• Contribute to the definition of best-in-class reference architectures and solution design standards.
• Contribute to understanding relevant industry and regulatory requirements for solution architecture decisions.
• Promote consistency and reuse by advocating for shared design patterns, common components, and platform-wide best practices.
• Evaluate and recommend vendor solutions, SaaS platforms, and third-party components at the platform level.
• Collaborate effectively with geographically distributed teams across the globe.
