Senior Strategy Manager (Financial Information Strategy Lead)

SIX Financial Information seeks a Senior Strategy Manager to define the strategic direction of its Financial Information business unit in Zurich, acting as a key advisor to leadership.

This position serves as the primary strategic advisor to the Head of the Financial Information business unit. The incumbent is responsible for defining the competitive landscape and determining where the unit will compete and succeed. The role demands a blend of strategic expertise and deep understanding of the data and information sector to guide long-term growth and alignment with the broader SIX Group objectives.

Responsibilities

• Define and refine the strategic roadmap for the Financial Information division, covering data, indices, and analytics.
• Ensure the business unit’s strategy aligns with the overall SIX Group strategy and integrates effectively across the organization.
• Spearhead inorganic growth initiatives by identifying, assessing, and executing mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, and investments.
• Drive organic growth by developing new products, entering new markets, and expanding capabilities.
• Analyze market trends and translate shifts into actionable insights and strategic recommendations for senior leadership.
• Prepare and present high-quality materials that support decision-making at the executive level.

Requirements

• Minimum of five years of professional experience in strategy, finance, or the financial data and information industry.
• Background in management consulting, corporate strategy, corporate finance, investment banking, or as a provider of data and market infrastructure.
• Proven ability to manage strategic projects from inception to completion, including leading M&A activities and major investment decisions.
• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills to address complex, ambiguous challenges.
• Capability to develop robust business cases and create polished, board-ready presentations.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, economics, finance, industrial engineering, or a related discipline.
• Fluent proficiency in English is required.
