Senior Strategy Manager (Financial Information Strategy Lead)

SIX Group seeks a Senior Strategy Manager to lead the Financial Information business unit's strategic direction, including M&A and organic growth, based in Zürich.

The company is looking for a strategic leader to define the competitive landscape for its Financial Information division. This position involves guiding both organic development and inorganic expansion through mergers and acquisitions, while serving as a key advisor to the business unit head and their leadership team.

Responsibilities

• Define and refine the strategic path for the Financial Information unit, determining competitive positioning across data, indices, and analytics.
• Decide on build, buy, or partnership approaches to expand the portfolio.
• Align the Financial Information agenda with the broader SIX Group strategy by identifying cross-unit opportunities.
• Source, evaluate, and support the execution of M&A deals, partnerships, and investments.
• Drive organic growth through new products, market entry, and capability development.
• Provide strategic counsel to the Head of Financial Information on critical business decisions.
• Analyze market shifts, client needs, and competitive dynamics to form clear viewpoints.
• Translate analysis into actionable recommendations and board-ready presentations for senior management.

Requirements

• Five or more years of experience in strategy, finance, or the financial data industry.
• Background in management consulting, corporate strategy, investment banking, or as a data vendor (e.g., Bloomberg, LSEG).
• Demonstrated success leading strategic initiatives, including M&A rationale and major investments.
• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills to frame ambiguous problems.
• Ability to construct and pressure-test business cases with both numerical rigor and compelling narratives.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in business, economics, finance, or industrial engineering.
• Fluent proficiency in English.

• Proficiency in German and/or Spanish.
