Senior Tax Manager (m/f/d) 80-100%

Schindler Elevator seeks a Senior Tax Manager in Hergiswil to lead Swiss tax strategy, compliance, and stakeholder advisory within the global Group Tax function.

This position serves as the central authority for all tax matters in Switzerland, acting as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and key internal partners. The role combines day-to-day operational management with long-term strategic planning, offering a clear trajectory toward future leadership within the Swiss tax domain.

Responsibilities

• Manage the complete Swiss tax agenda, including corporate income tax and compliance for all Swiss group entities.
• Serve as the primary liaison with Swiss tax authorities, leading audits, rulings, and negotiations.
• Provide expert advice on complex domestic and international tax issues, acting as the internal reference for Swiss tax law.
• Oversee tax accounting under IFRS standards, ensuring accurate reporting for current and deferred taxes across Swiss subsidiaries.
• Collaborate with Transfer Pricing, Finance, Legal, and business units to drive strategic tax initiatives and manage MAP/APA processes.
• Support various tax areas including VAT, contract reviews, employee taxation, and broader group tax strategies.

Requirements

• University degree in Business, Law, or a related field with a focus on tax or finance.
• Swiss certified tax expert qualification or active progress toward completion.
• Seven to ten years of experience in Swiss corporate tax, gained within Big 4 firms, consulting, or in-house roles.
• Deep understanding of IFRS tax accounting paired with a structured and analytical approach to work.
• Native proficiency in German and fluent command of English.
