Senior Waste Engineer

Ramboll Switzerland seeks a Senior Waste Engineer to lead waste management strategies and technical reporting for diverse building projects, requiring 6–10 years of experience.

The company is a global architecture, engineering, and consultancy firm dedicated to sustainable change. In this position, the successful candidate will prepare waste management strategies and technical reports for various developments, ensuring environmental compliance and efficient design integration.

Responsibilities

• Develop waste management strategies, perform calculations, and draft technical reports for multiple project types.
• Design and evaluate waste management systems and facilities for residential, commercial, hospitality, healthcare, mixed-use, and high-rise buildings.
• Collaborate with architects, MEP engineers, structural engineers, and other design disciplines throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide environmental consultancy services, including planning, assessments, and compliance advice.
• Create high-quality technical reports, presentations, and client deliverables.
• Participate in client meetings and technical workshops to offer practical engineering solutions.
• Assist in proposal preparation and contribute to business development efforts.
• Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of technical excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• 6–10 years of relevant experience in waste management and environmental consultancy.
• Proven experience on building developments, particularly high-rise and mixed-use projects.
• Strong knowledge of waste generation calculations, waste management design, and environmental best practices.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit.
• Excellent technical report writing and presentation skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.

• Experience in the Middle East and familiarity with local authority requirements.
