The Wealth Planning Team at Union Bancaire Privée (UBP) in Zurich is seeking a Senior Wealth Planner to support clients and collaborate with Relationship Managers. This position focuses on addressing complex wealth planning needs by providing tailored guidance on succession, legacy, tax, and mobility planning to create value and mitigate risk for each client.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on succession, legacy, tax suitability, mobility, and wealth structuring based on individual circumstances.
• Work with Compliance as needed to ensure adherence to KYC/AML rules and internal policies.
• Conduct training sessions and deliver presentations on compliant wealth planning strategies.
• Assist clients in navigating evolving regulations to protect assets and optimize after-tax returns.
• Draft timely internal alerts and client memorandums on relevant wealth planning topics.
• Engage with bankers to anticipate client needs and identify business opportunities.
• Train Private Bankers on current tax and legal developments to ensure proper action.
• Present and discuss compliant wealth planning solutions to meet client objectives.
• Meet with clients and prospects, including business travel alongside bankers.
• Promote Wealth Planning services through ad hoc presentations and publications on key themes.
• Maintain technical expertise on dedicated markets and apply a risk-based approach to mitigate risks.
• Build and maintain a network of intermediaries such as trust providers, tax advisors, and law firms.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in wealth planning services.
• Deep expertise in UK and Anglo-Saxon wealth structuring with a proven track record.
• Advanced knowledge in tax, legal, succession, and governance, demonstrated through complex case execution.
• Law background or diploma required.
• Fluency in English.
• Confident and persuasive communicator with excellent presentation skills.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics.
• Resilient and adaptable, able to perform under pressure and prioritize effectively.
• Self-motivated, service-driven, and focused on client outcomes.
• Strong team player, highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
