BNP Paribas (Suisse) seeks a Senior Relationship Manager in Zürich to lead end-to-end management of a high-net-worth client portfolio, acting as a trusted partner and business developer for the Wealth Management franchise.

This position serves as a trusted banking partner for sophisticated clients while driving growth for the Wealth Management franchise across Switzerland. The role focuses on attracting, retaining, and expanding high-quality client relationships within a high-performing team of private banking professionals based in the Zurich office.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to acquire high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and entrepreneurs.
  • Design and launch marketing campaigns to strengthen brand positioning.
  • Create tailored sales and marketing plans for each prospect.
  • Conduct client outreach, monitor pipeline health, and report on performance against targets.
  • Collaborate with internal specialists to deliver integrated, cross-border solutions.
  • Perform deep-dive portfolio reviews and provide strategic advisory.
  • Identify and champion cross-selling opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with suitability, regulatory and risk-management standards.
  • Direct the onboarding of new accounts, ensuring documentation and compliance checks are completed.
  • Lead the annual target-setting process for your book.
  • Own the management of asset, revenue and expense budgets for your portfolio.
  • Strengthen client relationships through proactive stewardship.
  • Maintain high levels of client satisfaction through exceptional service standards.
  • Escalate and resolve complex client issues in partnership with senior management.
  • Provide actionable feedback to product, operations and service teams.
  • Champion a culture of open, collaborative communication.
  • Mentor and coach Junior and Relationship Managers.
  • Lead the preparation of sophisticated client presentations and investment proposals.
  • Drive internal knowledge-sharing initiatives and lead best-practice workshops.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in wealth management, private banking, corporate banking or investment banking.
  • Proven track-record of independently managing a high-net-worth client book.
  • University degree in finance, economics, business administration or a related discipline.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong leadership mindset demonstrated ability to coach junior colleagues and influence cross-functional teams.
  • High degree of integrity.
  • Fluent in German (native or excellent proficiency in writing and speaking).
  • Strong command of English (written and spoken).

Nice to have

  • Professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA).
  • Preferably French (written and spoken).
