Senior Windows Engineer (m/f)

SUMMIT RECRUITMENT AG seeks a Senior Windows Engineer in Luzern to manage and develop the Windows server infrastructure, providing advanced technical support and ensuring system security.

The company is looking for an experienced engineer to oversee the operation, monitoring, and evolution of its Windows server environment. This position serves as a critical bridge between first-level support teams handling complex customer issues and third-party partners, requiring deep problem analysis and resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage events, troubleshoot issues, and handle problem resolution.
• Plan and execute maintenance activities for systems.
• Document technical and administrative configurations for new deployments.
• Maintain infrastructure security through SSL certificate management, vulnerability assessments, and PKI operations.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to meet their needs.
• Participate in an on-call rotation schedule occurring every two months.
• Provide selective guidance and support during apprentice training programs.

Requirements

• Completed training as a computer scientist specializing in systems technology or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of five years of hands-on experience within ICT infrastructure at a large organization.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft technologies, including Windows Server, SCCM, MS-SQL, M365, and Azure.
• Proven experience working in hybrid setups combining on-premises and cloud environments.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Ansible, and VB.
• Solid understanding of network protocols, specifically TCP/IP, switching, routing, and related troubleshooting techniques.
• Fluent command of the German language.
• English language proficiency at the B2 level.

Nice to have

• Higher education degree (HF) is preferred.
• Familiarity with VMWare, Citrix, backup solutions, and storage systems.
• Interest in working with applications specific to the healthcare sector.
