This position focuses on the upkeep, troubleshooting, and repair of vertical transportation equipment. The technician ensures that elevators and escalators operate safely and efficiently while maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Conduct scheduled inspections and routine maintenance for elevators and escalators.
- Identify and fix mechanical or electrical issues to restore system functionality.
- Adhere strictly to all applicable safety protocols and industry standards.
- Deliver professional support to building residents and facility managers.
- Record all service actions and generate accurate technical reports.
Requirements
- Completion of an apprenticeship as an elevator mechanic or an equivalent technical credential.
- Solid understanding of the mechanics and electronics of elevator and escalator systems.
- Capacity to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Strong analytical abilities for problem-solving and a keen eye for detail.
