Shopfloor Support (Waterspider)

SR Technics in Zürich seeks a Shopfloor Support (Waterspider) to manage material flow and logistics for the LEAP/GTF Engine Shop. This full-time, on-site role requires technical apprenticeship training and German B1/English B2 proficiency.

This position plays a key role in the daily operations of the LEAP/GTF Engine Shop within a global and dynamic organization. The incumbent ensures that production runs smoothly by coordinating materials, supporting supervisors, and maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency on the shopfloor.

Responsibilities

• Organize and prepare materials, parts, and assemblies based on current production priorities.
• Manage the receipt and dispatch of goods and associated documentation with precision and timeliness.
• Support the Supervisor in coordinating activities between production, logistics, and the tool store.
• Apply 5S principles to keep all work areas clean, orderly, and efficient.
• Uphold all Safety, Quality, and Compliance regulations and company policies.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
• Participate actively in Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives within the production area.

Requirements

• Completion of a technical or logistics apprenticeship, or equivalent professional experience.
• Possession of a valid Category B driving license and a Swiss forklift license.
• A reliable, self-organized, and hands-on working style with attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work in shift patterns.
• German language proficiency at level B1.
• English language proficiency at level B2.
• Strong teamwork skills, a sense of responsibility, and a mindset focused on continuous improvement.
