Alstom seeks a Site Tenders & Projects Director in Villeneuve, CH, to lead bid and project portfolios, manage teams, and ensure strategic goal achievement through strong leadership and coordination.
This position is responsible for overseeing a diverse portfolio of bids and projects, aligning them with the organization's strategic objectives. The director will lead and develop a team of Bid Managers, Project Managers, and Sub-System Managers, ensuring optimal resource allocation and risk management while fostering collaboration across sites and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate bids and projects to meet strategic goals while reducing portfolio risk.
- Balance the project portfolio to maximize organizational value.
- Ensure timely allocation of resources for ongoing bids and projects.
- Drive accountability for Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) across project portfolios.
- Manage and develop a high-performing team of bid and project professionals.
- Implement and monitor bid and project processes at the site level.
- Provide operational support to teams, including risk management and improvement initiatives.
- Facilitate collaboration between sites and stakeholders to resolve escalated issues.
Requirements
- Degree in Business Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of experience in leading projects and/or bids.
- Experience in a leadership role, preferably with transversal or international assignments.
- Fluency in both English and French is needed.
Nice to have
- Project Management Certification (IPMA or PMI)
- German knowledge
- Knowledge of the railway industry
