ITech Consult AG seeks a Senior Software Engineer for Market Risk applications in Zürich. The role involves developing Java/Kotlin solutions for banking risk and trading systems in a hybrid setup.
The company is looking for an experienced developer to enhance and maintain Market Risk applications within a banking context. This position focuses on translating complex business needs from Risk Management and Trading departments into robust technical implementations, ensuring the systems support both intraday and end-of-day processing requirements.
Responsibilities
- Translate business requirements from Market and Credit Risk, as well as Trading, into technical solutions.
- Design, build, and evolve applications primarily using Java and Kotlin.
- Develop and maintain interfaces connecting to trading, market data, reference data, and reporting platforms.
- Guarantee system performance, stability, and maintainability for both intraday and end-of-day workflows.
- Execute unit, integration, and regression testing to ensure software quality.
- Provide third-level support and perform error analysis for application operations.
- Create and update technical documentation covering architecture, design, and implementation details.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer or Application Developer within the banking or financial sector.
- Strong proficiency in Java and Kotlin.
- Solid knowledge of Linux, Kubernetes, and database technologies including MSSQL, PostgreSQL, and PL/SQL.
- Demonstrated ability to work with complex application landscapes and manage system integrations.
- Excellent analytical capabilities and a structured approach to work.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Risk Management, Trading processes, or financial applications is considered a plus.
