Staff Security Engineer, Operational Technology, Cloud CISO

Google seeks a Staff Security Engineer for Operational Technology in Zürich to harden Google Cloud infrastructure and secure ICS/OT data center environments.

This position supports the Security team’s mission to maintain a safe operating environment for Google’s users and developers. The role concentrates on strengthening the isolation and security of Google Cloud while addressing risks within the Industrial Control Systems and Operational Technology (ICS/OT) sectors of Google’s data centers.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy security controls, tools, and services to enhance overall security systems.
• Perform thorough security assessments to detect risks, vulnerabilities, and compliance gaps across infrastructure and platform layers.
• Create strategies and roadmaps to pinpoint risk areas and drive remediation efforts in alignment with business goals.
• Architect and implement security processes and controls to boost the organization's security posture.
• Evaluate designs and provide expert guidance to improve the security of ICS/OT environments and management platforms.

Requirements

• Experience with security controls and security assessments.
• Knowledge of security architectures.
• Familiarity with ICS/OT systems.
• Proficiency with Google Cloud.
