Endress+Hauser seeks a Strategic Buyer for Construction Services in Reinach, CH. The role focuses on global procurement strategies for complex construction projects, requiring strong negotiation skills and international experience.
This position provides a versatile opportunity to shape procurement strategies with a high degree of autonomy. The successful candidate will further develop global procurement activities while strategically managing complex construction projects, acting as a central contact for procurement topics across global production sites.
Responsibilities
- Create and execute procurement strategies for construction services, prioritizing cost efficiency and risk mitigation.
- Handle the procurement lifecycle for strategic investment projects, including new builds, conversions, and refurbishments.
- Manage the full procurement process from initial demand identification through to invoice verification, including contract management and negotiations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for procurement matters across the company's global production facilities.
- Build and maintain the supplier portfolio, assessing vendors based on quality, reliability, and performance metrics.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support site planning activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, construction, facility management, or a related field, with additional procurement training preferred.
- Minimum of five years of procurement experience, ideally within construction services and international project management.
- Strong understanding of RFI/RFP processes and capital expenditure (CapEx) environments.
- Ability to work analytically and structured, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Fluency in German and English, with confident communication and negotiation skills.
- Capacity to work independently, proactively, and maintain clarity under time pressure.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with SIA standards.
- Proficiency in French.
