Endress+Hauser seeks a Senior Strategic Buyer for Electronics Components in Reinach, CH. The role focuses on global sourcing, supplier development, and ensuring resilient supply chains for electronic parts.
This position plays a key part in strengthening global sourcing efforts by establishing resilient supplier strategies and guaranteeing the reliable availability of electronic components. The incumbent is responsible for managing and developing suppliers within a designated region, aligning local activities with broader global objectives.
Responsibilities
- Analyze market trends, risks, and opportunities to inform category strategies.
- Execute electronics component strategies in the assigned region in coordination with global teams.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders at regional and global levels to align on business needs.
- Manage strategic supplier portfolios, including selection, qualification, negotiation, and contract oversight.
- Monitor supplier performance regarding quality, sustainability, cost efficiency, and delivery reliability.
- Lead supplier development initiatives and supply-chain optimization projects, such as lean activities and digitalization.
- Address and resolve supply and quality issues with vendors.
Requirements
- University degree or equivalent in a technical, commercial, or supply chain discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in strategic sourcing, preferably within electronics or technical sectors.
- Deep understanding of supplier management, contract administration, and supply-chain workflows.
- Ability to think strategically and convert plans into actionable steps.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills for international stakeholder management.
- Collaborative approach focused on customer needs and sustainable outcomes.
- Fluency in English.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time, primarily within Europe.
