The company seeks a Strategic Pricing Analyst for its Surgery division in Zug, Switzerland. The position focuses on developing data-driven pricing strategies and supporting go-to-market initiatives for surgical technologies.
This position plays a central role in shaping the organization's commercial approach by focusing on long-term partnerships, market dynamics, and customer requirements. Pricing strategy is a critical component of the future business roadmap for the company's entities.
Responsibilities
- Partner with various departments to refine pricing approaches and explore new commercial models.
- Review pricing suggestions and advise on standards regarding product performance.
- Manage the proposal creation workflow and communicate potential risks and opportunities to leadership.
- Create analytical pricing strategies to enhance profitability and market position.
- Work with the Marketing Team on new product introductions, market entry frameworks, and portfolio segmentation.
- Oversee periodic pricing analysis reviews and report findings to management.
- Examine existing pricing frameworks to find ways to increase efficiency.
- Establish local price-volume targets and oversee the creation and testing of tools for the sales team.
- Suggest alternative pricing structures to retain important client accounts.
- Monitor key pricing metrics and conduct additional analysis as needed.
Requirements
- University degree in a relevant field, preferably a Master of Business Administration.
- Multiple years of professional experience in pricing or a similar function.
- Deep knowledge of P&L statements, margin analysis, cost structures, and price-demand relationships.
- Analytical mindset with strong business acumen.
- Project management skills to handle complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives.
- Fluent written and verbal German.
- Strong English communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Hands-on experience with Power BI and other financial analysis tools.
Nice to have
- Background in contracting and deal structuring.
- Ability to communicate in a second official language.
- Programming capabilities.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (S4/H).
