Strategy Deployment Manager DP Manufacturing

Roche seeks a Strategy Deployment Manager in Basel to align PTM manufacturing goals with global Pharma vision, overseeing strategic planning, execution, and risk management.

This position serves as the critical link between global strategic direction and on-site operational execution within the Pharma Technology Manufacturing (PTM) organization. The role focuses on translating high-level company visions into actionable mid- and long-term strategies, ensuring that site-level activities remain tightly aligned with overarching business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Establish five-year strategic goals for PTM and break them down into specific short-term targets and key performance indicators.
• Organize and lead long-term face-to-face strategy sessions to guarantee consensus on objectives and initiatives.
• Manage the strategic roadmap across both network and individual site levels.
• Create the necessary environment for successful implementation by handling prioritization, resource distribution, and budget oversight.
• Assist site teams in rolling out new capabilities and operational changes.
• Take ownership of the risk management framework for the PTM organization.
• Direct specific strategic projects and implement actions to mitigate identified risks.

Requirements

• Master’s degree, MBA, or PhD in a scientific or technical discipline.
• Over ten years of hands-on manufacturing experience within the biotech or pharmaceutical sectors.
• Demonstrated success in managing complex, multi-site projects in a global setting.
• Fluent proficiency in English.

Nice to have

• Background in drug product, device, or finished goods manufacturing.
• Familiarity with drug product operations.
• Ability to communicate in German.
