System Integration & Test Engineer - Test Management & Automation

QIM info seeks a Senior System Integration & Test Engineer in Geneva to lead IV&V activities for aviation and ATM safety-critical systems, focusing on automation and strategic testing.

The company is looking for a senior specialist to join its Integration Verification & Validation (IV&V) team. This position plays a key role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and operational readiness of complex aviation and Air Traffic Management solutions through rigorous testing and continuous improvement efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and carry out integration, system, and end-to-end tests to verify interactions between software, hardware, and external interfaces.
  • Build, maintain, and enhance automated test suites addressing both functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Assess system performance, resilience, reliability, failover mechanisms, and overall behavior.
  • Analyze defects, perform root cause analysis, and work with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
  • Create test strategies, verification plans, and risk-based testing approaches.
  • Guarantee sufficient test coverage, requirements traceability, and mitigation of quality risks.
  • Coordinate testing efforts and report progress, results, and risks to stakeholders.
  • Promote the adoption of testing best practices, methodologies, and quality standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement in testing processes, automation frameworks, and overall testing maturity.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of experience in system integration, verification & validation, and testing within complex environments.
  • Strong expertise in test automation tools like Squish or JMeter, along with scripting/development skills in Python, Java, or similar technologies.
  • Proven ability to define test strategies, verification plans, and risk-based testing approaches.
  • Solid understanding of system integration, APIs, networking, and distributed architectures.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Fluent in English and French.

Nice to have

  • Experience in safety-critical systems.
  • ATM domain knowledge and familiarity with standards such as ISO 15288, ED-153, ED-109, or DO-178C.
  • ISTQB or equivalent certification.
  • German language skills.
