Tailor (m/f/d)

Badrutts Palace Hotel St. Moritz seeks a Tailor for its Linen Room team to manage uniform maintenance, textile repairs, and guest garment alterations in a high-end hospitality setting.

This position supports the Linen Room team by upholding the hotel's rigorous quality standards for all textiles. The role focuses on maintaining staff uniforms, repairing hotel linens, and handling delicate alteration requests for international guests with precision.

Responsibilities

• Execute professional sewing, mending, and alteration tasks for staff uniforms, hotel textiles, and guest clothing.
• Address individual guest requests for garment modifications with discretion and high attention to detail.
• Operate sewing machines to perform embroidery based on specific guest instructions.
• Repair damaged textiles, including replacing buttons, sewing hems, and fixing linings.
• Conduct fittings and adjustments for employee uniforms to ensure proper fit.
• Collaborate with Linen Room colleagues and assist in other Laundry operational areas as needed.
• Keep the workspace tidy and maintain sewing equipment and tools in good condition.

Requirements

• Completed vocational training as a Tailor or Seamstress, or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong proficiency in sewing, altering, and repairing garments made from diverse fabrics.
• Demonstrated precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality work.
• Ability to work independently, reliably, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• High level of discretion and personal responsibility.
• Fluent command of both English and Italian.

Nice to have

• Prior experience with machine embroidery.
• Additional language capabilities beyond English and Italian.
• A service-oriented attitude and ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
