Technical Project Consultant

Finastra seeks a Technical Project Consultant in Baden, CH, to implement financial software solutions and manage technical configurations for Swiss clients in a hybrid role.

This position serves as a primary technical liaison for clients across Switzerland, focusing on the deployment of Finastra’s software products. The consultant ensures seamless operations by handling technical setups, resolving complex issues, and coordinating between internal engineering teams and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and configure Finastra software solutions to meet client needs.
• Handle and prioritize technical support tickets related to payment services.
• Set up client application environments through precise configuration management.
• Conduct deep-dive technical investigations into reported issues and deliver solutions or detailed reports.
• Coordinate with clients, suppliers, and internal engineers in both German and English.
• Adhere to corporate standards to reduce operational risks and provide regular status updates.
• Prepare and transfer technical documentation to the support team after implementation.
• Track and fix internal defects and product bugs in collaboration with development teams.

Requirements

• Proven technical background paired with strong analytical problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for effective stakeholder interaction.
• Proficiency in Linux operating systems and scripting languages.
• Understanding of client-server models and web-based application structures.
• Competence in database management and SQL querying.
• Familiarity with integration protocols such as (S)FTP, (WebSphere) MQ, and REST APIs.
• Knowledge of system networking, infrastructure setup, and technical architecture principles.
• Practical experience with payment processing, AML screening workflows, SWIFT services, and ISO 20022 standards.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Computer Science, or comparable professional experience.
• Prior work history within the financial sector, including banks, insurance firms, or similar institutions.
