ABB Power Grids seeks a Junior Tendering Engineer in Molinazzo di Monteggio, CH, to create cost estimations for dry type transformers and inductors while supporting sales and engineering teams.

In this position, the engineer will generate preliminary design cost estimates for dry type transformers and inductors based on customer specifications. The role also serves as a technical liaison between sales and engineering, providing support to both teams and customers.
Responsibilities
- Analyze customer requirements to establish technical tender specifications.
- Draft deviation sheets and recommend appropriate technical solutions.
- Prepare precise cost estimates and specify material needs within the ERP system.
- Secure accurate pricing by working with suppliers and vendors.
- Submit cost estimates to the bid and proposal team on schedule.
- Keep technical and costing product data up to date throughout the deal lifecycle.
- Offer technical tender assistance during bid revisions or negotiations.
- Maintain clear and prompt communication with all tender stakeholders.
Requirements
- Hold a university degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering.
- Possess initial experience in a comparable role, particularly regarding technical competencies.
- Demonstrate proficiency with CAD and Microsoft 365 tools.
- Show strong attention to detail, communication abilities, and a self-starter attitude.
- Be fluent in English.
- Be willing to travel up to 10% of the time.
