Comet seeks a Vice President of Group Controlling and Digital Finance to lead global financial planning, performance steering, and digital transformation from its Flamatt headquarters.
The Group Controlling function is responsible for ensuring transparency and providing a diligent entrepreneurial decision-making base across Comet. This role provides the methods and systems for Controlling worldwide, supporting the company's global operations.
Responsibilities
- Direct the financial strategy and performance management of the organization by overseeing global planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Establish financial transparency by implementing standardized KPIs, controlling methodologies, and enterprise-wide performance steering.
- Collaborate with Executive Management and business leaders to deliver actionable financial insights, challenge assumptions, and support strategic decisions.
- Enhance profitability, operational excellence, and value creation across all divisions, functions, products, and projects.
- Oversee the continuous improvement of finance processes, ERP/BI-supported controlling, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Coordinate divisional controllers within a unified framework and provide global tools and methods.
Requirements
- University degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field, combined with 15+ years of international experience in Group Controlling, FP&A, or Finance leadership.
- Strong expertise in enterprise performance management, financial planning, business partnering, and controlling within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record in implementing controlling standards, KPI frameworks, and data-driven finance processes across complex international organizations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills with fluency in English; German is a strong advantage.
