Roger Dubuis seeks a Senior Controller to lead advertising and promotion financial oversight, partnering with global teams to optimize investments and ensure reporting accuracy.
This position sits within Cartier’s International Finance team, reporting to the Head of Strategic Projects & A&P Controlling. The incumbent serves as a strategic advisor to Markets, Marketing, Client & Communication, and International Finance stakeholders. The primary objective is to steer the Maison’s advertising and promotion investments, driving financial performance and ensuring robust resource allocation.
Responsibilities
- Track monthly financial results across various markets, examining deviations from the plan to pinpoint risks and opportunities while improving forecast precision.
- Collaborate with market and central stakeholders to analyze advertising and promotion spending, implementing corrective measures when necessary.
- Help coordinate the annual budgeting process, quarterly reforecasts, and monthly forecasts, ensuring alignment with Maison HQ and Group Finance standards.
- Produce specialized global analyses to aid strategic choices, such as evaluating celebrity contract costs, campaign return on investment, and high jewelry event expenses.
- Offer expert financial insights to guide decision-making and improve how resources are distributed across the Maison.
- Serve as the main liaison for markets and headquarters regarding tax matters associated with advertising and promotion activities.
- Assist in upgrading financial infrastructure, including transitioning from Power BI to Looker and deploying a new A&P controlling platform.
- Work with the MCC Strategic Planning team to define requirements for the Athena v2 budgeting tool.
- Guarantee the accuracy and consistency of global A&P data across different tools, maintaining strict classification standards by team, touchpoint, and project.
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of finance experience within a multicultural, matrixed organizational structure.
- Master’s degree or equivalent qualification in Finance, Economics, or Engineering.
- Deep expertise in financial analysis, including proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and full P&L and balance sheet reporting.
- Strong grasp of Management Accounting principles and IFRS standards.
- Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP BI or comparable reporting platforms.
- Fluent command of the English language.
