Richemont seeks a Senior Controller for International Finance in Meyrin, CH, to oversee Cartier’s advertising and promotion financial performance and strategic investment steering.
This position reports to the Head of Strategic Projects & A&P Controlling within Cartier’s International Finance group. The incumbent serves as a strategic advisor to Markets, Marketing, Client & Communication, and International Finance teams, ensuring that advertising and promotion investments drive optimal financial results.
Responsibilities
- Track monthly financial performance across various markets, analyzing deviations from the plan to pinpoint risks and opportunities while improving forecast accuracy.
- Collaborate with stakeholders at both the Market and central levels to deeply understand advertising and promotion spending, defining and executing corrective measures when necessary.
- Coordinate the annual budgeting process, quarterly reforecasts, and monthly forecasts, ensuring alignment with guidelines set by Maison HQ and Group Finance.
- Perform ad-hoc global analyses to aid strategic decision-making, such as reviewing celebrity contract costs, assessing campaign return on investment, and analyzing high jewelry event expenses.
- Provide expert financial guidance to support decision-making processes and optimize resource allocation throughout the Maison.
- Serve as the primary contact for markets and headquarters regarding tax matters related to advertising and promotion activities.
- Assist in developing and improving financial tools, including migrating data from Power BI to Looker and implementing a new advertising and promotion controlling platform.
- Work with the MCC Strategic Planning team to define the Athena v2 budgeting tool.
- Ensure the accuracy and consistency of global advertising and promotion data across different tools, maintaining robust classification standards by team, touchpoint, and project.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance within a multicultural and matrix organization.
- Master’s degree or equivalent qualification in Finance, Economics, or Engineering.
- Proven expertise in financial analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting across full P&L and balance sheet.
- Solid understanding of Management Accounting and IFRS standards.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP BI or equivalent reporting tools.
- Fluent proficiency in English.
