Workplace System Engineer

SUMMIT RECRUITMENT AG seeks a Workplace System Engineer in Zürich to develop and maintain Microsoft-based workplace systems, focusing on automation, security, and infrastructure optimization.

This position centers on the engineering and continuous improvement of workplace systems, with a primary emphasis on Microsoft technologies. The role involves designing efficient infrastructure solutions and ensuring the stability of client software environments.

Responsibilities

• Design technical specifications and concepts to boost client infrastructure performance.
• Build automation scripts with PowerShell to reduce manual effort and increase productivity.
• Manage client software applications to guarantee reliable operation.
• Collaborate on M365, Client Security, MDM, and MAM initiatives to refine the digital workspace.
• Manage fault, change, and order processes within second and third-level support structures.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation to support knowledge sharing and system upkeep.

Requirements

• A technical college degree or equivalent professional training.
• Demonstrated background as a client engineer, ideally with Microsoft technology exposure.
• Deep proficiency in SCCM, Intune, Active Directory, PowerShell, M365, and Azure Automation.
• Hands-on experience in managing client images and developing client-side concepts.
• Prior involvement in cloud or workplace solution projects.
• Solid understanding of IT security, IT service management, and project management methods.
• Fluent communication abilities in both German and English.
