Intune System Engineer

SUMMIT RECRUITMENT AG seeks a Mid-level Intune System Engineer in Zürich for a hybrid role. The position focuses on managing Microsoft Intune, device lifecycle, and security compliance within a modern workplace environment.

This position sits within the IT Windows & Workplace Engineering team. The primary purpose is to take full ownership of Microsoft Intune administration, device lifecycle management, security compliance, and modern workplace automation. The goal is to build smooth, secure, and scalable device experiences across a hybrid or cloud-first environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and optimize Microsoft Intune and Endpoint Manager environments.
• Develop and maintain Device Configuration Profiles, Compliance Policies, Conditional Access, and Application Deployment.
• Manage Windows Autopilot, including provisioning, deployment, and troubleshooting.
• Oversee lifecycle management for Windows, iOS, macOS, and Android devices.
• Use PowerShell and automation tools to streamline processes and reduce manual workload.
• Improve the user experience by enhancing device onboarding, self-service capabilities, and workplace technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support modern workplace initiatives.
• Act as the escalation point for endpoint-related incidents and complex issues.
• Monitor system performance and proactively resolve issues before they impact the business.
• Document solutions, configurations, and best practices.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager.
• Solid understanding of Azure Active Directory, identity management, and Citrix.
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting.
• Experience with Windows 10/11 management, Autopilot, and patching.
• Excellent German skills.
• Good English skills.
• Ability to do on-call work every 6-7 weeks.

Nice to have

• Experience with Defender for Endpoint.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 ecosystem and security components.
• Knowledge of macOS management tools (e.g., JAMF).
• Experience with SCCM in co-management scenarios.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., MS-102, MD-102, AZ-104).
