Zürich based - Senior Consultant, AI/ML

Intellishoredk seeks a Senior AI/ML Consultant based in Zürich to lead the development of AI-driven solutions for healthcare and life sciences clients, focusing on model building, MLOps, and strategic growth.

This position sits within a rapidly expanding Zürich office dedicated to creating AI-powered tools for pharmaceutical and life science organizations. The role combines technical execution with strategic influence, allowing the consultant to help shape the commercial and technical direction of the new Swiss entity while delivering scalable machine learning solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams comprising data scientists, engineers, and strategy experts to execute projects.
• Collaborate with clients to pinpoint business areas where advanced analytics and AI can generate tangible value.
• Establish standards for building scalable AI systems that span the entire development lifecycle.
• Develop and deploy machine learning models and generative AI applications using Python and contemporary libraries.
• Manage the deployment of AI solutions in cloud environments, prioritizing scalability and system reliability.
• Guarantee that all deliverables meet production standards, security protocols, and industry compliance requirements.
• Construct and sustain end-to-end MLOps pipelines featuring CI/CD automation, version control, and automated retraining mechanisms.
• Implement strategies for detecting data and model drift, including triggers for automated model updates.
• Define protocols for monitoring, alerting, and continuously improving live ML systems.
• Track emerging trends in AI, cloud infrastructure, and automation to enhance model performance and business relevance.
• Foster an environment of innovation and continuous professional development within the AI team.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML, or a closely related discipline.
• Strong foundational knowledge of statistics.
• Minimum of three years of experience in data science, machine learning, or AI consulting.
• Advanced proficiency in Python and key data science frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, and Pandas.
• Practical experience deploying AI solutions on cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, GCP, or Databricks.
• Proven track record of managing the full ML lifecycle in cloud environments, from data ingestion to governance.
• Solid understanding of MLOps principles, including CI/CD pipelines, automation, and monitoring strategies.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to manage stakeholders and align technical solutions with business strategy.
• Familiarity with Large Language Models, vector databases, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques.
• Willingness and ability to work on-site in Zürich.

• Prior experience in the pharmaceutical or life sciences sector.
• Hands-on background in launching AI/ML solutions to production using cloud technologies.
• Experience collaborating with pharmaceutical or healthcare organizations on clinical, medical, commercial, or supply chain projects.
• Fluency in German or French in addition to English.
