AI and Data Architect Specialist

Michael Page seeks a Senior AI and Data Architect Specialist in Geneva to lead data ecosystem modeling, governance, and AI-driven technology implementation.

This position serves as the central IT point of contact for data-related projects, focusing on the definition, maintenance, and documentation of conceptual and logical data models. The specialist guides the evolution of the Data Warehouse and Data Hub while ensuring all initiatives align with established architectural standards.

Responsibilities

• Establish and enforce data architecture principles, ensuring compliance across all systems.
• Lead the implementation of data initiatives, demonstrating strong project management and leadership capabilities.
• Evaluate and integrate AI-oriented technologies, including semantic search, knowledge graphs, and AI-enhanced data access tools.
• Collaborate with development teams to support the ongoing evolution and integrity of data models.
• Review and approve IT solution designs to guarantee adherence to data architecture and model standards.
• Promote best practices for preparing, enriching, and optimizing data for AI model training.
• Ensure data consistency, traceability, and comprehensive documentation throughout the ecosystem.
• Define and monitor compliance with data governance and metadata management standards.
• Partner with IT Security and Legal teams to maintain robust data protection and regulatory compliance.
• Act as the primary liaison for the implementation of data-related initiatives within the organization.

Requirements

• Proven experience in data architecture or data engineering.
• Hands-on expertise with cloud-based platforms, specifically AWS and OCI.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and modern ETL/ELT frameworks.
• Knowledge of vector and graph databases.
• Familiarity with data modeling tools, conceptual design, and metadata management.
• Understanding of machine learning pipelines and Large Language Model (LLM) integrations.
• Knowledge of the DAMA-DMBOK data management framework.
• Awareness of AI-related regulations, such as the EU AI Act.
• Strong project management and leadership skills.
