AI Solution Architecture Lead

Forum Fribourg SA seeks an AI Solution Architecture Lead in Geneva to bridge business strategy and technical execution, overseeing the design and delivery of scalable AI solutions within the IT team.

This position serves as a pivotal link between business objectives and engineering implementation, ensuring that AI initiatives are robust, scalable, and consistent with the organization’s long-term goals. The lead will establish the strategic vision and architectural principles for an internal practice dedicated to the end-to-end delivery of AI solutions. Reporting to the Head of Engineering, the role operates within the Forum IT Team to drive technical alignment and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction to a specialized group of consultants, overseeing the creation and deployment of reliable applications and data pipelines on various platforms.
• Act as the liaison between product management and engineering teams to guarantee that technical choices reinforce product goals and improve user experience.
• Create and update the technical roadmap for AI initiatives, ensuring alignment with the broader product vision and business strategy.
• Identify potential technical hurdles, plan for system scalability and performance, and design architectures that support both current requirements and future growth.
• Oversee architectural decisions and technical standards, working with platform leads, product teams, and engineering managers to ensure best practices are adopted.
• Build and maintain shared semantic models (ontologies) that represent key business concepts, ensuring consistency and interoperability across data sources, APIs, and AI systems.

Requirements

• Advanced university degree in a technical or related discipline.
• Proven experience in designing end-to-end AI solutions across diverse and heterogeneous platforms.
• Strong expertise in data integration, system interoperability, and semantic modeling or ontology design.
• Solid knowledge of relational and non-relational databases, including PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, and vector database solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and platform groups.
• Track record of providing architectural governance and establishing clear technical standards.
• Deep understanding of AI-driven solutions, including knowledge graphs, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and intelligent agents.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• Fluency in English.
