Forum Fribourg SA seeks a Mobile Engineering Lead in Geneva to oversee iOS and Android development, drive technical strategy, and mentor engineering teams within an Agile environment.
This position serves as a key driver for the organization’s digital strategy, ensuring that mobile products for members and constituents meet industry-leading standards. Reporting to the Head of Engineering, the lead takes full ownership of the mobile ecosystem, bridging the gap between technical execution and strategic business goals while fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the IT team.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate efforts and facilitate decision-making across engineering groups and product stakeholders to guarantee timely and coherent project delivery.
- Provide technical leadership and coaching to mobile developers, encouraging best practices, ongoing education, and professional advancement.
- Assess emerging technologies and innovations to align with the mobile roadmap, establishing a clear perspective on how Forum products can stand out in the market.
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including specific reports and design papers, to ensure clarity and consistency throughout the mobile platform.
- Manage the complete lifecycle of product features from initial concept to launch and subsequent iterations, working closely with product managers on iOS, Android, and backend services.
- Establish and uphold mobile design standards, including the creation of mock-ups and rapid prototypes for mobile-first interfaces, to ensure a superior user experience.
Requirements
- A university degree in computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
- At least five years of experience in technical product management or engineering leadership, with a demonstrated history of successfully launching mobile products at scale.
- Proven ability to deploy and manage application lifecycles on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
- Experience collaborating with engineering teams using structured development processes, preferably within an Agile framework and utilizing issue-tracking tools like JIRA.
- Fluent proficiency in English, with strong written, verbal, and digital communication capabilities.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of mobile programming languages such as Objective-C, Swift, Android, or Kotlin, along with a solid understanding of modern backend and frontend technologies.
- Familiarity with micro-services architecture and Salesforce.com is considered advantageous.
- Experience in design, particularly creating mock-ups and rapid prototypes for mobile-first interfaces, with a keen focus on user experience quality.
