AI Enablement Engineer

Swissquote seeks a mid-to-senior AI Enablement Engineer based in Gland, Switzerland, to accelerate AI adoption across the Technology department and build a sustainable ecosystem for engineering teams.

This position focuses on establishing artificial intelligence as a fundamental engineering capability within the organization. Reporting to the Head of Talent & Methodology, the engineer collaborates with various departments including HR, Product Strategy, and Engineering to identify high-impact initiatives and build a sustainable ecosystem that empowers teams to operate autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain the Software Engineering AI Enablement Program.
• Conduct hands-on workshops, technical trainings, bootcamps, and office hours.
• Align AI learning initiatives across Software Engineering and Technology.
• Create learning paths for Generative AI, AI-assisted development, prompting, agents, and automation.
• Develop reusable playbooks, best practices, and engineering guidelines.
• Track AI adoption metrics and refine programs based on feedback.
• Partner with engineering teams to find AI opportunities that improve the software development lifecycle.
• Assist teams in integrating AI into design, coding, testing, documentation, operations, and maintenance.
• Build prototypes for AI-powered engineering workflows and reference implementations.
• Collaborate with internal Communities of Practice.
• Organize technical talks, demos, hackathons, and AI events.
• Promote responsible AI usage and experimentation.
• Contribute to Software Engineering AI standards and best practices.
• Participate in defining AI governance for engineering activities.
• Ensure AI usage complies with security, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify recurring engineering challenges and propose AI-driven improvements.
• Facilitate AI discovery workshops with the Methodology Team.
• Prototype business solutions using Generative AI.
• Support departments during AI adoption and change management.
• Act as a trusted advisor on AI opportunities and implementation approaches.
• Monitor AI trends, technologies, and industry best practices.
• Evaluate emerging AI tools and frameworks.
• Represent Software Engineering internally across Swissquote.
• Contribute to external visibility through conferences, meetups, articles, or technical communities.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience in Software Engineering, Platform Engineering, Developer Experience, or Technical Consulting.
• Strong software engineering background with experience building production systems.
• Practical experience using Claude or similar LLMs in work: prompt engineering, using AI coding assistants, building small internal tools or scripts that leverage LLM APIs.
• Demonstrated experience leading technical enablement, mentoring or training engineers.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong understanding of software engineering best practices.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong bias toward execution and continuous improvement.
• Passion for learning, experimentation and knowledge sharing.
• Curiosity about AI governance, security and cost management, and willingness to learn Swissquote’s specific constraints and policies.

Nice to have

• Experience with Claude Code, OpenWebUI or similar AI development environments.
• Exposure to spec-as-source, agentic workflows, or RAG patterns, even in small side projects
• Prior experience running brown-bag sessions, workshops, or internal documentation initiatives.
• Familiarity with Claude, OpenAI, OpenWebUI, GitHub Copilot, Cursor or similar AI platforms.
• Experience with RAG, AI Agents, MCP, orchestration frameworks or agentic workflows.
• Knowledge of AI governance, security and regulatory requirements.
• Experience working in regulated environments.
• Public speaking experience, conference presentations or technical content creation is a strong plus.
