Avaloq seeks a Senior AI Software Engineer in Zürich to lead AI innovation within the banking sector, focusing on Agentic AI and LLM production deployment.
This position sits within the AI innovation lab team at Avaloq. The primary objective is to enhance operational efficiency and improve user experiences across back-office and front-office functions by leveraging advanced artificial intelligence. The team focuses on creating specialized products designed specifically for the banking industry.
Responsibilities
- Guide AI initiatives from initial concept through to live production environments.
- Work with diverse teams to build and integrate Agentic AI systems.
- Create sophisticated prompt engineering strategies, multi-agent architectures, and supporting tools.
- Ensure the reliable deployment and ongoing maintenance of large language model applications.
- Refine systems to achieve better performance, lower costs, and greater scalability.
- Monitor emerging AI research trends and assess relevant regulatory changes.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Solid foundation in data science, statistical analysis, and experimental methodologies.
- Deep knowledge of data structures, algorithmic logic, and software design patterns.
- Proficiency in Python for coding, debugging, and analytical tasks.
- Minimum of five years in full-stack software development.
- At least three years in applied machine learning, including two years working with LLMs and agents.
- Demonstrated history of successfully deploying and managing AI models in production settings.
