Applied AI Engineer

BLP Digital AG seeks an Applied AI Engineer in Zürich to build internal AI tools for hiring, finance, and ops. The role focuses on LLMs, agents, and rapid deployment of production-ready solutions.

This position is dedicated to developing and launching AI-driven internal applications that streamline hiring, financial, and operational processes. The engineer works at the cutting edge of large language models and AI agents, applying emerging technologies directly within the company's infrastructure to create significant efficiency gains.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy AI-powered internal tools quickly to support business workflows.
• Assess, integrate, and connect the newest AI models, APIs, and frameworks into stable, production-grade systems.
• Generate compounding value by automating tasks and reclaiming time across the organization.
• Produce clean, maintainable code that seamlessly connects with current technical systems.
• Manage the full deployment lifecycle, including building, testing, releasing, and monitoring applications.

Requirements

• A technical background with hands-on building experience, whether through a CS degree, bootcamp, or self-directed learning.
• Practical experience using modern AI tools, including LLMs, AI coding assistants, and workflow automation platforms.
• An entrepreneurial mindset, demonstrated by founding experience, creating critical internal tools, or building custom solutions.
• The ability to work rapidly, communicate effectively, and collaborate with non-technical stakeholders.
• Fluent proficiency in English.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in the German language.
• Familiarity with automation and database tools such as Make, n8n, Retool, or Supabase.
